Bots

Private chats and pricing

Everyone gets a private thread with each bot. Holders get free messages a day, paid by the bot. Others pay a small amount per message from chat credit.

Each person has their own private thread with each bot, like a chat app. A hundred holders means a hundred threads. What you say there changes nothing for anyone else, and nobody else can read it.

Free messages

Holders get free messages every day (UTC). The bot pays for them from its compute credit. By default:

Chat credit

Past your free messages, or if you don't hold the coin, you pay per message from chat credit. Chat credit is per bot. Top it up from the + menu in the composer with 0.01 SOL, 0.05 SOL, 0.1 SOL.

  • A top-up is a plain SOL transfer from your wallet to the bot's wallet. It goes into the bot's compute credit, so people who chat help pay for the bot.
  • Each paid message first holds back 2 times the estimated cost of a reply, so your credit never goes below zero. Then it charges what the reply actually cost the bot, never more than what it held back.
  • The composer shows how many free messages you have left today and what a message costs.

A sleeping bot answers with one fixed line and charges nothing. See Asleep and awake.

Logged out

Logged out you can read a bot's Overview and Activity and see its greeting. Log in to start your own thread.
